    More draft prospects visit Steelers

    Thursday, April 07, 2011
    By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Four more college draft prospects are visiting the Steelers today, none considered a first-round pick.

They are wide receiver Austin Pettis of Boise State, running back Da'rel Scott of Maryland, cornerback Cortez Allen of The Citadel and cornerback Ras-I Dowling of the University of Virginia.

In addition, at least one more prospect will visit on Friday -- Auburn defensive tackle Zach Clayton.

and as far as the secondary goes dont let this influence away from moving up to get harris in the 2nd if he slips .. saw that interview with him on nfln last night .. im not usually into interviews at all, but harris reignited my mancrush big time .. dad was a coach etc .. such a great kid ..

not sure harris is the BEST fit for us but he would dominate as a NB...hes little but hes beefy and not afraid to stick his nose in there. hes best in man, but thats not a bad thing when dealing with quick slot WRs....him in the second would be magical

I agree I want Little because he covers so many needs for us. Ras was a top 20 pick before injuries and in the Ike mode. Jenkins can be our NT or 5tech Harris can be our nickel which is where Mike Mayock said he loves him there.

Ed Bouchettes Mock Is really good

    1 Brandon Harris
    2 Rahim moore
    3 John Moffit
    4 Alex Henery (k)
    5 Austin Pettis
    6 Anthony Grey 5'11" 330 lb DT/NT SMU
    7 Monte Simons DE/OLB KENT

I'd Switch Pettis & Henery but this is nice.
I seen a few mocks that had us take Aaron Williams in the first & Ras I Dowling in the 2nd. They said with the idea that one will be groomed at Safety. Hot Dam I like his thinking. Fill or DB needs its long over due.
Trade out of first get extra 4th round pick,2 4ths or 3rd and get our Db's,OL & DL set. If we have the extra 3rd we can get Pettis & Moffit in the 3rd. Of course taking Pettis with the earlier pick or even grabbing Little in the 2nd.
