Jets vs. Steelers - AFC Championship Game

The Steelers have opportunity they've been hoping for in the palm of their hands. The opportunity to win the AFC and advance to Super Bowl XLV is right in front of them.

Standing in their way are the NY Jets, who are brimming with confidence after taking down 2 of the games best Quarterbacks in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, on the road. They will bring a tough defense and an offense with many weapons at it's disposal. The Steelers will be rested and ready to go so it's all hands on deck, Heinz Field is playing host to the contest that will decide who goes to the big dance.

Can't wait either. I like our chances but NO ONE that reaches the AFC Championship game in this day and age is a patsy. We cannot (And I feel we wont) overlook these guys.

As a side note, I noticed today how Sanchez STILL tends to overthrow the ball this week as he did last week. Hope he does it again next week....Troy and Company will make him pay if he does. I predict 2 picks next week against Sanchez.

It will be a tight affair through 3 quarters but I think we begin to see the pull away by about 13:00 left in the 4th. Also, I think we can paste at least 30 against these guys. IF we do, we are winners.

Two more to go to get our Seventh...the time is now.

Another Jim Nantz Phil Simms game the only 2 games the Steelers have lost this season on CBS is when these 2 clowns have called our game. However, since 2005 the Steelers are undefeated in the playoffs when Nantz and Simms do our games they are 4-0, while they are just 4-18 in the regular season going back to 2005...

The Jets defense was so out there during the Pats game. They totally had Brady confused and receivers were totally covered. No one came open when the Pats needed it. My only point in our favor is that Brady repeatedly stood in the pocket waiting for someone to get open. Ben is likely to take off and run (not very gracefully but heck, whatever gets the job done). I am certain Rex is planning how to get past our porous O-line and get to Ben but that zone-man coverage defense he had working during the Pats game was very impressive. Some how we need to counter.
