    Steelers receivers

Is the trio of Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown comparable to Hines Ward, Troy Edwards and Plaxico Burress in 1998-2000 or are they better?

I hope better, I think the upside on Wallace is higher than any of the 98-2000 guys, Sanders and Brown both have shown some good stuff so far. I don't think we will really know until we get a good line in front of Ben and allow them to become normal receivers instead of hot route receivers.

If even 1 of them turns into something special AND we can protect Ben then look out for our aerial attack.

maybe.. but wouldnt one of them need to grow 6 inches in height to make the comparison...

The new triple threat is way better imo. Wallace is a better deep threat than Burress because Wallace tries. Edwards is a joke compared to Sanders and Brown. Ward is still the man.

Sweed never enters the equation, similar to his impact on the field.

Troy Edwards was epic fail for most of his career with us. He had some bright spots but overall he should never have been drafted as high as he was. Now Plax and Hines, that was a great duo, I was really disappointed with Plax left.

Wallace, Brown, and Sanders all have a bright future. If they all keep progressing at the rate they are we could be on to something special for a real long time.

still not close imo. I love what Sanders and Brown are doing, (in addition to the return game). I'm almost mad there is no labor contract next year because I'm so excited as to what these guys can do. ARE was the catalyst for the trick plays but that seems to have faded with MT as opposed to Cowher. If the FO signed him for leadership that is a slap in the face to the scouting dept and Ward, but I understand. Z. Hood and Urbik were drafted because they were team captains and could provide some positive influence. FO is definitely looking for high character guys after the past off season troubles.

Our offense stinks. Probably close to the worst in the league. I wouldn't speaking too highly of Sanders and Brown just yet.
