We been waiting on Sweed for a few years,that not to say he won't do it but he is still a huge question mark. Hines may have 2 more years,but the way he plays could shorten his career at anytime...

Hines is a tough SOB. He's got a few more years left in him. He hasn't really shown any signs of decline to me.
To me, he just hasn't seemed the same this year. Maybe it was that huge drop vs the Ravens that put it into my subconscious. His stats are off a little from the past 2 years where he has been great. I'm sure even if we win #7 he will be back next year. He is such a valuable leader on offense that I'm sure the coaches will do everything to at least have him on the sidelines after his playing days are through.
On a side note, I defended Sweed for way too long - dump the bum
He's still clutch there is no doubt. If we were to win the super bowl this year he would almost definitely hang it up, going out on top like that is every players dream. If we don't I'd say he's probably got another 2 years in him yet.
I've been asking the same question. I really do not know. If there is no season next year he'll be 36 thats presuming its a one year lockout. He's still a quality WR who can teach a lot to our talented younger WR crops. I hope it is not soon. Also, if we somehow do win the SB this year, Im saying he's gonna hang it out Jerome Bettis style minus the whole hometown storyline.
He's never been a speed guy by any means, but he just looks so slow to me this year. And he has had some uncharacteristic drops this year. I love the guy, but he won't be the #1 for too much longer.

He's been fortunate this year health wise, thank goodness. He doesn't heal up as quickly as he used too. His presence alone on the field helps this team, when he's not out there you can see a difference in how the offense operates. His blocking is still a big part of the running game and you still have to respect him especially on 3rd down.
