Step into East Side Pub on a fall Sunday and it's as if you've been transported to the Steel City.
Barmaids don Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys and eyeblack stickers. Rolling Rock and Iron City beer are plentiful. And when the Steelers score a touchdown, the black and gold-clad patrons wave perhaps the most iconic symbol of Steeler-fandom, the Terrible Towel, and sing the Steelers anthem that includes: "Here we go, Steelers, Here we go, Pittsburgh's goin' to the Super Bowl."
Nicknamed "Three Rivers South" for the now-demolished former home stadium of the Steelers, East Side in Fort Lauderdale is just one of a dozen or more bars and restaurants across South Florida catering to the Steelers faithful.
The crowds will be a little lighter this Sunday when Pittsburgh fans pack Sun Life Stadium for the 1 p.m. Miami Dolphins-Steelers game.
Reading stories like this one never get old, could be any city USA.
