    Redman named short yardage back; Randel El will take snaps as 3rd QB

    Tomlin: Randle El will take snaps this week as the No. 3 QB. #steelers

    got both of these texts a little bit ago...i was waiting for someone to make a thread, lol...i'm glad redman finally made the roster...let's hope he can keep producing (esp after all the redman hating that was going on in here last preseason)

    Awesome news! This means that El's arm will be nice and loose to throw up some of those trick plays from 2005, and I love that they are acknowledging Redman as the short yardage bulldozer he is.

    i do not hate redman, i think his preseason heroics are going to lead to regular season disappointments though

    lets be clear...theres nothing awesome about randle el, him being on the final roster is a joke to pro football

    Haha, please man. El is gonna shut a lot of people's mouths when he is picking up short yardage first downs as a slot receiver. He may have lost some speed, but he is going to play just because of who he is and he WILL make plays. Watch.

    At the expense of better plays that could have had if Sanders or Brown were ahead of him on the depth chart. Really all he does on our team is limit the offense even further.
