    Apple Pie with Everclear

    Ingredients
    1 gallon apple juice
    1 gallon apple cider
    3 cups white sugar
    8 cinnamon sticks
1 (750 milliliter) bottle 190 proof grain alcohol (Everclear works best)

    Directions
In a large pot, combine apple juice, apple cider, sugar and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
When juice mixture is cool, Stir in the grain alcohol.

If you haven't tried this yet you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. Be careful because it tastes so good the alcohol will sneak up on you.

If it's anything like what my cousin Bety's boyfriend makes a sip will knock you on your butt. It did that to me. lol But it is really good taste like apple pie.

A guy at work brings that up from Virginia. I bought a few gallons last winter. I believe it was $25 a gallon and he said it was made with moonshine. But like it was said it taste just like a pie, and will sneak up on you quick. A great drink on a cold winter night.

I've heard of folks making it with moonshine too. Either way the stuff is just for sipping. Too much can ruin a good time.
