    Steelers Tool Box

I took an auto body graphics course as an art elective at school. Our final project allowed us to paint something of our choice. I chose my tool box. Below is the before and after pictures.

Looks great! Did you attach actual diamond plate or did you paint all of that? Either way that looks really cool. When you get tired of it let me know. I could use that in my Steelers garage! lol.

I custom painted the entire front of the box. I painted the diamond plate on the black background with an airbrush and a stencil. The logo was traced on frisk masking (think of a giant roll of masking tape) on the box with an overhead projector. I then used a razor blade to cut out the silver outline and the hypocycloids and painted each individually. The "Steelers" text was originally planned to be painted on but the condensed class schedule didn't allow enough time. I took black vinyl decal paper that the collision repair paint lab had and drew the letters and cut them out. I stuck them on the box and then clear-coated over top of them.

I have some pictures of the progression if anyone does what to see how it came together!
