Steelers expect Roethlisberger ruling from commish tomorrow

The Steelers are expecting to hear Wednesday what punishment Ben Roethlisberger will receive from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in connection with his alleged sexual-assault incident in Georgia, the Post-Gazette has learned.

It would be nice to know heading into the draft what the punishment is going to be.

more than 4 would be insane anyway imo...

Im saying he either gets 2 games with some rehab type deal or like community service thing or 4 games without. My guess is 4 games.

First offense as far as I know I still say if anything 2 games. Anymore then that he needs to get his attorney involved.

I think 4 would still be too much. I'm guessing 2.

What I heard someone say (sorry, no source, think it was Francesca on FAN NY) is that he may get an certain number of games and then could be reinstated earlier if he behaves or something. Almost like open ended but could apply for re-instatement after 2 games.

I'm thinking 2, hope it's not 4, that would really stink.

Four games has been pretty much the norm under the Goodell regime, so I figure that's what it will be with a chance of it being reduced later.

What time tomorrow will they make announcement? What time zone? Like can some of our friends in say Asia where it's already tomorrow tell us how many games Ben got?

I'm hoping for only 2 games. I just hope the Commish doesn't use this as an opportunity to flex his muscles and make an example of Ben. The message will be sent strongly enough just by the suspension with no charges being filed. If I were a betting man I'd bet he gets 4 though.
