What were you thinking: Bettis Fumble?

Pitt on the goalline vs Indy. Div Playoff round Steelers have lead the whole game. In comes Jerome "the closer" of our squad. Then... the improbable... Bettis fumbles. Ball flys up into the air and bounces right to Nick Harper. At this point, What was going through your head?

I was thinking, I am glad Harpers girlfriend stabbed with a knife earlier that week so that Big Ben could actually tackle him. I know that makes me really cold, but that is honestly what I was thinking

I felt so bad for Jerome. He was my fav Steeler and didnt want him to go out like that.

Then I was mad at my Dad (superstition) for going across state last minute to spend the weekend with his cuz and not watching the game with me like we did the other 99% of the time.

I still have the front page picture and article from the Cleveland Plain Dealer of this game hanging on my refrigerator....

i remember watching this game and thinking that although i wasn't a steelers fan, i didn't want his career to end like this. he's a classy guy and i'm glad that wasn't his last play n the nfl.
