Pens let one go down the Johnny Flusher....I'm not concerned yet.....I think the Pens will turn it on come play-off time since they have so much experience.....Lets just get Geno 100 percent for the play-offs.......
A few things concern me, the way we have been handled by the Devils, our inconsistent play the last couple weeks, and MAF. They aren't good enough (other than 87 & 71) to just turn it on and off whenever they feel like it. It would be huge to get the second seed and have home ice for the 1st 2 rounds at least. Assuming they make it out of the first round.
On the plus side it looks like Stahl is getting better and better!

Yeah he choked last night in the shootout..you can't let 3 straight goals get by you..I don't care who's shooting the puck. Let's remember that 2 of our stars weren't in the game last night. Hopefully that would account for something.
One thing going against the Caps is the Prsidents Cup winner seldom wins the Stanley CUp. 92-93 Pens are a good example of that. They had 119 points and lost to the lowly Islanders.

That's what I've been saying to all the Caps fans here. Not only in hockey, but how often in any sport is the winner of the championship the best team in the league during the regular season? Not often.
No Malkin or Gonchar again today...but the Flyers are without Carter and are starting their 4th or 5th goalie who has never started an NHL game before. We need to dominate this game from the drop of the puck until the final horn.
