LinkThe Kansas City Chiefs have released troubled running back Larry Johnson.
A two-paragraph statement from the team Monday simply listed Johnson's statistics and announced his release. Johnson was due to come off a two-week suspension Monday.
Johnson on Sunday finished serving a two-week suspension, which covered one game and the team's bye week, for making gay slurs. He was 75 yards from breaking Priest Holmes' franchise record (6,070) for career rushing yards.
What a waste of talent.
