How much longer does Hartings have ?

This guy has been a staple at center for us and has lived up to the Steeler tradition of great centers like Dawson and Webster. His knees get worse every year, he basically has no cartidledge left in them. Okobi has been waiting and waiting, and he's built like a protypical center..short to the ground, low center of gravity, long arms, and sooner or later he's gonna have to step in and play.

Im all for Jeff playing as long as he can, he's a pro bowler after all..I just hope Okobi rewards the team for sticking with him when the time comes.

I think Hartings has as long as he thinks he has. Hopefully another 5 years at least till his succedor is found and well trained.

I really thought he might retire after the super bowl win...but he's still going strong and says he feel's as good as ever.

Now that I think of it. I never thought Hartings would retire after the win in Super Bowl XL. Well at least we have him for a little while longer.

I like both of them. Okobi should be a pretty decent center for us when the time comes. I will be sad to see Jeff go just like I was when Dawson went and Webster before that.
Damn we've had some pretty good centers!.....lol

well we do have hartings successor so we don't have to look much (referring to steelcity's comments) but ever since i heard okobi say "stay still please" in that real girly voice i kinda now want us to start looking all over again lol. i think harting is done after this year, unless he doesn't feel like walkin when he's older lol

Hmmmm I wonder how much Chuky has in him. We'll see this weekend when the stardinals have their stadium christening party crashed by the Steelers.
