NFL DECIDES STEELERS TOO GOOD, DECIDE NOT TO PROPERLY COMPENSATE TEAM FOR LOSS OF FUTURE HOF GUARD.
Steelers lose G Fanaca, a 6 time pro bowler, and LB Haggins
NFL Commissioner Roger Godell " Pittsburgh have too much of an advantage with having the #1 defense and one of the best QB's in the league, so we have decided not to give the required 3rd round compensation pick, but lower it to a 5th round pick"
"We feel, along with the implentation of the 'Hines Ward' rule, this should give the rest of the league an equal base to compete against the super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is just too good at this time. The rest of the League needs a 'leg up' to be able to equally compete against the Steelers."
Steeler President Art Rooney II had no comment at this time for the blatent bias against Pittsburgh.
