Steelers vs. Ravens (Wk. 15) W 13-9

This is definitely a battle of the defenses and whose defense is going to make the big play to propel their team to a win. The last time these two teams met the Steelers had the big play with Woodley returning a fumble for a TD. Both teams have stellar defenses and lack luster offenses, however, the Ravens might have a slight edge with their offense because they have the 3rd ranked rushing offense in the league and the Steelers are in the low to mid 20's statistically for their offense.

The Ravens have been relying on rookie QB Flacco. He is reminiscent of Big Ben in 2004 where he just managed the game and didn't turn the ball over and make mistakes to cost his team victories. For the Ravens to win this game they will have to rely on their running game as they have done all year.

Pittsburgh needs to take a good look in the mirror! Yes, the defense is awesome but that all that can be said about the Steelers. If the offense can come around and start to make some plays and move the ball with some consistency then the team as a whole would be awesome! Right now though they can't really pass it, and they can't run it! Not sure if it's the running backs and quarterback or maybe the offensive line or maybe a combination of both! It's really hard to say but something needs to change because even though the defense is as good as they are they are bound to have a bad game where the offense is going to need to step up and win a game... maybe this will be the one!

For the Steelers to leave Baltimore with another win in the win column they need to do the following:

Force Flacco to air it out.
Stop the Ravens run attack.
Need to show offensively that they can score against a really good defense!

Oh Boy....this game has been on my mind for weeks. now its here, and I'm starting to get the yips.. this is going to come down to, "What team makes the most/least mistakes?" What team wins the battle of field position? Who controls the clock? Who can reek the most havok in the oppents back field? What Def can score the most points? There are so many things that can decide the out come of this game. As with every game in the NFL, but these teams are two mirror images of themselves. This will be a dog fight from the opening kick off. Look for the medics to be working OT in this game. People are going to be carted off, and its not going to be pretty. We need this, and I think we have the cajones to pull this off.

This should be a really good game. Both teams have great defenses. I think both defenses will play really well this week in a low scoring game. I see the Steelers shutting down the Ravens running game and forcing Flacco into some mistakes. I see the Raven defense standing strong though for about 3 quarters against the Steelers offense, but then the Steelers will score on them to seal the deal. Im going to say Steelers 17-3.
