They are still responsible for it no matter what, keep him or drop him, they have to pay the full price. Anyway, yes that is the better solution. I hope they never pull this stunt again.

Staley is a vested veteran. So if the Steelers were to cut him. He still get his full salary.

Evidentally who ever wrote the article forgot Najeh didn't play in the Jax and Bengals game

I really what we have seen from him the past couple of weeks, hopefully he will stick around for awhile especially since the Steelers aren't concerned about his weight

Yep since they started giving him playing time he's come through in a big way. He solved our other RB situation for sure (knock on wood)

I been saying it since they signed him !! This move parallels Jerome's signing when he came here, big back who wore out his welcome with original team !!

Let's just hope he can continue to work on filling his shoes, or pants !!

I've been very impressed with Najeh, and considering he hasn't had much on the field playing experience, that impresses me even more. I think he'll be a guy we look to for many plays in the future!

Davenport's knock has always been getting hurt, and playing with a little bit of pain. I remember in the preseason reading an article where McCarthy said that he needs to learn to play injured, etc. I think that getting cut and now playing for league minimum's might change his approach. He is really down to his last whirl in the NFL if he messes this shot up, IMO.

I like what he has brought to the table the last couple weeks, except for getting drug down from behind by a defensive lineman, he and the entire running game has been impressive.
