NEW YORK, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu, who had an interception in the Steelers' victory last week, has been selected the AFC defensive player of the week.
Polamalu had 10 tackles, three passes defended and returned an interception 49 yards in Pittsburgh's 45-7 rout of Kansas City in earning player of the week honor.
