Once again the potent Steelers D is facing off against another high powered offense who's offense can light up the scoreboard as well as their defense allows their opponents to do as well. The Chargers and Steelers use to be know as mirror images of one another, poundd it out on the ground and play some tough defense. Now these two teams are really the complete inverse of one another. The Chargers have a stellar offensive attack especially through the air and a defense that can't stop their opponent. Where as the Steelers have a tough shut down defense and their offense can't seem to move the ball.
Parker is listed as returning to the lineup after missing last week, so the Steelers should have a 1-2 punch assuming it's utilized. Woodley should be returning to the lineup as well. his pressure on the QB was missed tremendously last week. Other notes of concern is the Steelers secondary is still banged up, both Townsend and McFadden are out this week as well as Heath Miller.
This game is really going to come down to who turns it over the most or makes the most mistakes. Lately the Steelers seem to be full of mistakes on the offensive side and are relying on the defense to bail them out entirely too much! The keys for a Steelers win and to get back on track is simple:
- No turnovers
- If Ben starts he needs to get rid of the ball... preferably to a player wearing a Steelers helmet
- Use either the pass or the run to open up the other
Join us this Sunday afternoon as we talk about the game and cheer our Steelers to a victory!
