Post Game Summary - Steelers vs. Cheifs (Wk. 6)

What an excitement buzzing in the city of Pittsburgh and for all of the Steel
Nation. The Pittsburgh Steelers had question marks all over their foreheads
coming into this game, but the game ended in a major exclaimation point and
pure excellency in all phases of the game. BIGGEST WIN in the last few

season has happened tonight. 45-7 can explain the win. Big Ben was on fire, Willie Parker and Najeh Davenport was on fire, Hines, Cedrick, Nate, Heath, and the list continues well into BLITZBURGH DEFENSIVE LINE AND
SECONDARY. The Pittsburgh Steelers gave the KC Chiefs and the rest of the
NFL a message, A reminder that they are the Defending World Champions and that Super Bowls aren't won, or lost, in the first few weeks of the season.

The Steelers came out like hell breaking lose with Ben Roethlisberger
throwing for the first two touchdown passes since the AFC Championship
    Game from last season.

The Steelers were without three injuried regulars--The Steelers never
resembled the team that could barely gain a first down in the lost to Jacksonville or ran only 18 plays in the second half of the lost to San Diego. The confidence level rosed to fashion when AFC NORTH rivals, Cincinnati
and Baltimore went down with losses earlier, tightening up a division race
that appeared to be in jeopardy for the Steelers until now.

Roethlisberger entered the game with the lowest QB rating in the league with
0 Touchdowns, and 7 interceptions until today. Duane Huard was among the highest rated QB. It changed in a momentum-shifting few hours in which
Roethlisberger was near perfection all throughout the game and Huard being
the longtime backup to the Injuried Trent Green couldn't even munster
anything positive on the field today completing only 16 of 32 passes for 162
    yards and an interception.

Ben was polished so well today and dead on accurate going 16 for 19 for 238
yards and TDs of 47 yards to Nate Washington and 13 yards to Hines Ward.
This man constantly dissected the veteran secondary of the Chiefs that was loaded with talent.

He got the Steelers going by doing exactly what is expected on the third play of the opening drive, hitting Rookie Santonio Holmes for a 50 yarder after defender Ty Law slipped on the turf. Holmes would've scored if he hadn't fallen in the open field, but Willie Parker scored several plays later from the 3 yard line to solidify the opening drive with a 7-0 lead.

Ben found Nate Washington for his first TD throw on the Steeler's next
possession, and the Chiefs struggled from being 14 down like they did to rally
from behind to defeat Arizona 23-20. Parker was consistently finding big gaps in the defensive line provided by the dominating offensive line of the Steelers and running lanes as Parker piled up 109 yards for the game, as Larry Johnson struggled all game long by the punishment of the Blitzburgh Defense.

Larry Johnson had now the second ineffective game in a row, last week had
only 36 yards effort against Arizona on 15 carries and a TD. The biggest play of the game was when he ran down All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu on a 49-yard interception return in the third quarter by grabbing him by the hair the flows halfway down Polamalu's back. Johnson proceeded to whipped Polamalu to the ground along the Chief's sideline, touching off a brief scuffle among the teams.

The Steelers never started 1-4 since Bill Cowher was hired in 1992.

Once again, the Steel Nation and the city of Pittsburgh are celebrating with an exclaimation point of what was the most exciting game in a long while for the Pittsburgh Steelers. What a night. 45-7 your final. Good Night and join me again next week for the pre game summary from Atlanta's GeorigaDome.

Thanks guys, I enjoy doing these very much. It brings my writing skills out and my creativity. There was much to smile about yesterday. I think I am going to live on this victory for awhile longer and shove it to the Browns fans.
