either way you gotta take the best player available, lets just hope theres some quality guys that play on one of the lines available wherever we pick
Scout.com has started compiling their draft board but until the season is over and the underclassmen start to declare whether they will be eligible for the NFL draft the rankings mean nothing. Remember Branden Albert on last years board who went from maybe a second rounder to being picked 15th by K.C. I like to see how some of these guys play in the bowl games and then the seniors in the blue/grey game before I start salivating for certain players. Example, Chris Williams looked pretty good in that game last year and improved his stock in that game. I will reserve my wish-list until after the superbowl and underclassmen have declared their eligibility. My focus will be on O & D lineman as I hope the Steelers will be also.![]()
I think we will end up trading Leftwich or another to get a lower pick int he teens. I think we would do this if someone such as Oher slipped that far. No matter what I think we need to pick up an OL in first round or via free agency. Free agency might be better as we know they're proven.
Really the Steelers should focus on the OL....Yes I understand they need youth along the DL also....But I think they could squeeze another year out of this DL.....The DL has been solid all year and even the depth has been solid.....
OT and draft a damn kick returner as well.......I don't care if its a corner, WR or whatever just as long this teams adds a returner in the mix......But if a young DL like Tyson Jackson is available in the late first round and if all the top OTs are gone then yea I would have no problem with Jackson being picked......I prefer best available anyway.....
