Arrow Ben Roethlisberger's career passing statistics

These statistics include the 2008 season, and will be updated weekly during the season.

    Ben Roethlisberger's career passing statistics
    1,051/1,658
    63.4% completion
    13,543 yards
    98 TD
    65 INT
    92.3 passer rating
    2004
    227/349
    65.0% completion
    3,028 yards
    20 TD
    16 INT
    92.4 passer rating
    2005
    226/361
    62.6% completion
    3,188 yards
    24 TD
    12 INT
    99.3 passer rating
    2006
    280/469
    59.7% completion
    3,513 yards
    18 TD
    23 INT
    75.4 passer rating
    2007
    293/446
    65.7% completion
    3,491 yards
    34 TD
    14 INT
    101.8 passer rating
    2008 (so far)
    25/33
    75.6% completion
    323 yards
    3 TD
    0 INT
    136.3 passer rating

I know that extrapolation is not statistically sound, but in this case think it offers a glimpse of something close to what we can expect from Ben after 12 years in the league.

    2015 Outlook
    3,058/4,825
    63.4% completion
    39,410 yards
    285 TD
    189 INT

Assuming such an extrapolation, Ben would rank among the greats in several categories.

    Ben Roethlisberger's extrapolated career rakings

Between Dave Krieg (3,105) and Boomer Esiason (2,969) in pass completions
Between Jim Everett (4,923) and Jim Kelly (4,779) in pass attempts
Between Johnny Unitas (40,239) and Dave Krieg (38,147) in passing yards
Between Johnny Unitas (290) and Vinny Testaverde (275) in TD passes
Tied with Sonny Jurgensen (189) in INTs
Tied with Joe Montana (92.3) in passer rating

It is possible that Ben will have 40,000+ passing yards and 300+ TD passes by the end of the 2015 season! Looks like we found us one hell of a QB!

Dang, where did all those INT's come from? He better cut back on that or we will keep running the ball.

5 years into the NFL, well 4 full season actually, but Ben is already well on his way to becoming the more prolific QB in team history no question. The man has a bright future in Pittsburgh and we're going to be witness to it.

Ben is a gunslinger, he improvs a lot and is going to have his share of INT's, just comes with the territory. Last year though he cut those numbers way down and is making very smart decisions which is great to see.

If Ben goes on to have a 286/189 career TD/INT ratio then I will be more then happy with that......That is a +97.....Not bad at all....

If Ben throws two TD passes in Philadelphia, then I expect CBS to show a graphic informing people that the second one was his 100th career TD pass.

I thought Ben had less than 16 int's his rookie year. Are you counting the playoffs as well?

The post-season is part of a QB's career, no?
