I said the Steelers would dominate this game and they did. I also said a shutout would not suprise me. That didn't happen. Oh well. Next week the Steelers will beat the Browns just like this, if not worse. I won't look for a shutout but an *** whoopen is coming for them.

Ok .... so since this game is "unofficially" over .... I just want to offer a few random thoughts:

    - Excellent way to kick-off the 2008 season! Massive *** kickings are always a great way to start a season!

    - Offense with BR at the helm is brutally efficient. He has more poise and maturity than any point of his career. If he's not the top QB in the league this year, I'll be very surprised.

    - Offensive line played well; especially the left side (Smith/Kimo). I'm not in any position to crown them in the leagues elite, but they played well as a unit. They will continue to get better. We'll need it when we get into the tougher part of our schedule.

    - Parker / Mendenhall combo is a very very dangerous backfield.

    - Hines Ward hasn't lost a step since the 1st season he stepped on the field in the NFL. Our other WR's will learn a tremendous amount from him from having had the opportinity to call him a teammate.

    - Defense is scary good. Granted they gave up a TD pass in shiat time, but let's be honest .... these guys are going to wreak some havoc on teams this year. Woodley ..... welcome to the bigs! , oh by the way .... in case you didn't know it .... you're a star. Timmons is fast .... very fast. Our secondary did their job and Troy made a few nice plays which I hope continues.

    - Special teams did their thing. Nothing too much to talk about with them, but having strong but unspectacular outings isn't such a bad thing. I'll take it considering last year's weekly debacle.

    - Coaching: Good solid game plan. Good move to get BR out of the game and get Leftwich some actual playing time.

    - Enjoying the win, but also realizing that this was against the Texans, so keeping it into perspecive. Continue to build off of this game and onto next week we go ....

Oh, did I mention our DEFENSE is fu<king AWESOME? ....
