Steelers Preseason Stats through week 3

It's going to be really hard for the organization to justify letting Willie Reid go since he is leading the team in receptions and yards...

Dennis Dixon for running back, 27 yds/att.

That run by Dixon was something to watch definitely the highlight of the preseason so far IMO. Other than that Mendenhall has been playing really well, except for the fumbles but Im not real concerned about those yet. He's adjusting to the speed of the game and learning how much more intense the NFL is than what he's used too.

Santonio has 3 catches and 2 of them are for td's.

    pretty sweet ratio.

Any chance we just didn`t want to show all our cards? Sat. was just going through the motions, for the starters, nothing downfield.

    I believe that.
When they intreviewed ben on the sidelines and was asked about the two trick plays with him playing reciever he said nonshalantly that it was a little something they tried in practice and wanted to see what it looked like in the game.
They were just running a very vanilla playbook with the short quick passes and it looked like they were looking at their inside running game instead of plays that stretched to the sidelines.

The offensive play calling this preseason does not worry me, now if it drags through into regular season, then i'll start to get worried and question it.
