Has NFL Films ever done a feature pertaining to the size of a fan base other than the Steelers? If they have, then I have not seen it, and that's all that needs to be said.

No question the most dedicated, crazy, well traveled, and downright addicted fan base is Pittsburgh .

A couple of notes, since FOX Sports was too chickenshiat to post my reply...

It'd behoove people to learn how to spell "trailer" properly before attempting to insult the intelligence and/or sophistication of another fan base.

Sour grapes make good w(h)ine. Two and a half years have passed, and has all the bellyaching about Super Bowl XL changed the final score? (Here's a hint: NO.) Really, Steeler fans shouldn't care about what "the rest of the world" thinks, because their opinions have all been rendered null and void by the scoreboard.

Let's compare the Steelers and Browns from 1980 onward. Since the start of the 1980 season, the Steelers have 15 playoff appearances, 11 division titles, seven AFC finalists, two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl championship. The Cleveland Browns have nine playoff appearances, five division titles, three AFC finalists, zero AFC championships, and zero Super Bowl championships.

One poster was right that the Pittsburgh wouldn't get the Steelers back if they moved, but he gave the wrong reason. It has nothing to do with Steeler fans being overly nostalgic, and everything to do with the fact that the NFL would lose its largest cash cow, which would ruin the league's brand equity in the process. Sports league - good brand equity - solid cash flow = bankruptcy. In short, there would be no league for the Steelers to return to.

    LOL OMG, HAHAHAHHHA

you just proved the guys point.

But you also proved why the browns have the best fans in the country. with all of the browns problems over the years, we still sell-out just about every game, and also have the biggest organization is the NFL known as browns backers. which has the biggest group in CA.

why did u start at 1980?? if your going into the past make sure u go all the way back. what does 1980 have to do with 2008? also browns have 5 championships, which was the superbowl.

Yes the steelers are important to the NFL, just like most teams. But it would move on and be just fine without pittsburgh. Thats just selfish to think like that.
