The Steelers made two more roster moves on Saturday, waiving tight end Jon Dekker and signing tight end Lee Vickers. The Steelers also announced that defensive end Kevin Huntley, who was claimed on waivers from Washington on Tuesday, has failed his physical.
Dekker was waived/injured after sustaining a knee injury in Thursday night's preseason victory over Buffalo in Toronto. Dekker, 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, played in three games for the Steelers in 2007 after spending most of the season on the practice squad.
He was also on the Steelers' practice squad in 2006 after failing to make the team as a free agent-rookie from Princeton. Vickers, 6-6, 275, was originally signed by the Steelers as a free agent-rookie defensive end from North Alabama in 2006. He spent the 2006 season on the Eagles practice squad as a tight end and appeared in nine games as a tight end for the Ravens in 2007, starting two. Vickers had two catches for 4 yards last season.
