My Prediction (As of Now) for the 2008 Depth Chart

QB: I am pretty sure we keep 3 this year unless Dixon loos really bad, and I don't think he will
1. Ben Roethlisberger
2. Charlie Batch. Only for this year. And if Ben is out for a while, do not be surprised to see Dixon come in.
3. Dennis Dixon

RB/FB: Under Arians, the full-back position is not really necessary.
1. (for now) Willie Parker
2. Rashard Mendenhall
3. Mewelde Moore. Epitome of a 3rd down back.
4. Gary Russel. The coaching staff loves him and I think he will see some time at FB to get him on the field. If he shows enough, it could lead to Carey Davis getting cut.

WR: I say we have 5 on the roster.
1. Santonio Holmess
2. Hines Ward
3c. Nate Washington. He will split time with Sweed until he gets acclimated.
3b. Limas Sweed
5. Kevin Marion. This really depends on how much he shows as a Return-Specialist

I don't have time tonight to fully read over your list but this one jumped out at me..

I look for us to keep 6 WR's and I think Dallas Baker shows enough to make the team. I don't know about Marion but he'll have his shot because I think Willie Reid's days are over unless he has a totally stellar camp.

I also don't think you'll see Russel doing any type of FB work unless Davis gets hurt. The team like what Gary can do according to what I've read and heard recently, in the running game and they want to try and develop him and get him some reps.

unless stapleton shows that hes a god at guard or center we dont have room for him on the roster.

and baker makes the team over marion

Fox will play ILB in the 3-4.

If Marion shows he can do some damage on Kick Returns, he wil make the team. Moore is only avearge returning kicks and we have no one else, really.

Davis will stay on the roster, Russell isnt big enuff to play FB (when those few situations come up)
Stapleton will get the ax... Mehan's being able to play both saves him
It would be nice to find a Diamond-in-the-Rough for the DL. Were still a little thin there IMO.

Eh, like I said Marion could get the nod because he can return kicks which neither of the other 3 can do, and I hate Jeremy Bloom. Davis probably will stay on the roster. We keep 5 WR's so we can have depth elsewhere. Plus, I have 3 WR's on the Practice Squad (Marvin Allen is listed as a WR but cannot be brought up to the active roster)

Trannon is a bum and won't make the team...Rucker is practice squad material for this year....I see Baker making the team....As for Marion.....If he shows something as a return man then he might make the team as the 6th WR....It won't be shocking if 6 WRs are kept...

I would to but we never know what will be in the coaches minds.....I think if they keep five backs then they will only keep 5 WRs...But if they only keep 4 backs then they could keep a 6th WR especially if Marion shows anything as a return man....From what I have been reading about Baker this off-season it sounds he has the early inside track to be the 5th WR....I know its just OTAs so its far from a lock...But if Baker continues the progress he showed in OTAs into training camp/pre-season then he will make the team in my opinion....I'm rooting for Marion....We need return men bad on this team...Would be nice to use Holmes at times as a returner but I doubt that happens.....

I REALLY wanted Dorian Bryant and was so excited e signed with them, especially since he went to High School about 10-15 minutes away from me. Actually, a rival of my school. Too bad he was smoking pot or something to fail the physical. I haven't heard too much about MArion, but he was a pretty good returner at Wake if memory serves me correctly.
