NFL Power Rankings: May 2008 edition

    2008 ESPN Power Rankings: Offseason

Decent rankings IMO. The teams ahead of the Steelers deserve to be there and if we are going to move up in those rankings we have some proving to do. I believe we will be amongst the elite teams at the end of the year!

Considering how unproven our O-line is, this ranking my a be a little high.

I'm glad to see ESPN is actually ranking based on whats been going on, not what they think is going to happen.

Yeah those are accurate IMO; right now on paper things may look completely different than they will come the start of the season but overall we're probably right about where we should be based on FA and draft and the team we already had in place.

Only problem I have it is the Giants isn't number 1....The team that won the Super Bowl the year before should enter the early power rankings number 1....But I really don't put much stock into power ranking anyway...Its fun to debate them of course...

theres no way the giants should be default number one...theres no way they are or even were the best team...they beat the mighty patriots yeah, but they had a great playoff run after a pretty ****** season but anyone can make the playoffs in the nfc. i think NYG not making the playoffs is a great possibility this year

I agree with BG...if you win the SB, you are number 1 until someone proves you aren't.

I disagree. This is a power ranking of now and ow teams could shake up. The Giants are still a decidedly average team that got hot at the right time.

I could give you a breakdown of every position but I am not really in the mood right now.

How many people picked us to repeat after SB XL? ZERO! For the same reasoning already stated here, we weren't the best team in 2005, we were the hottest team. There is a difference. The Giants clearly aren't one of the elite teams in football and in their division they might not even make the playoffs this year. I agree with the rankings.

Do the Browns deserve to be at #9?
