    Steelers sign top pick Holmes

    The Steelers came to terms with first-round draft pick Santonio Holmes shortly after 5 p.m. today and the wide receiver was expected to arrive in training camp in Latrobe some time tonight.

    Holmes will sign a five-year contract with financial terms not immediately available.

    He was the last of their nine draft picks to come to a contract agreement. The Steelers today also announced they have agreed to terms with third-round pick wide receiver Willie Reid. Financial terms of that deal also were not available.

    The Steelers also released former Pitt and Perry High School quarterback Rod Rutherford.

    Alright, so now hes signed and we just need to him to perform. He needs to get his act together and be ready to play some ball. Hopefully he shows what an athlete he really is this season.

    but he didn't do anything really, he got arrested for being black and famous, just like gilbert arenas and his teammate. and they got arrested the same weekend and the same city......and it was just his bitch causing problems cause he now has money and is gonna try to make him pay to shut her up when she feels like lying

    He also was called a ton of times by Big Ben but never returned his calls. I dont think he's tootally innocent...

    well i know, he's an OSU player wadda ya expect, they all have problems. but i'm sure everything will be fine.
