Are the seahawks overrated?

Well they took a big beating tonight at the hands of the Bears. With Alexander out with his broken foot it puts alot of pressure on Hasselback to make plays. To my knowledge he's had Alexander there pretty much since he's been the starting QB so he's always had that good running game to help out.

They've got weapons on offense but did free agency losses on the OL and temporary loss of Alexander expose them as being overrated?

Pretty tough to say they aren't after the game tonight. Its one thing to have an awful game on offense all things considered. But to give up over 36 points to the Bears like that... Very dissapointing. Hasselbeck is throwing way too many picks.

But, the season is young. SA and Stevens will return. We have the luxury right now of being able to have a few more terrible games and still make the post season. It sure would be nice to get home field advantage though. I am keeping the faith...

Yeah no need to throw in the towel now of course, you guys are still one of the top teams in the NFC, but it'll be tough road ahead for you guys, just like us.

I see Seattle and Chicago battling it out for the top seed of the NFC. Seriously, though, when Alexander and Stevens get back, that offense will get back into a rhythm and look out.

It's entirely possible to see them in the NFCCG again this year. I do think teams like Atlanta & Chicago will give them run for their money in the playoffs though.

Chicago did look like the real deal yesterday. Atlanta... I have learned to always err on the side of caution when dealing with high expectations and Michael Vick.

it shocks me that ONE person means so much to a team. and its not just shaun alexander with the seahawks. steve smith with the panthers comes to mind as well.

Maybe Chicago is just that good now

They (Chicago) do have a really good defense which was able to shutdown Seattle with ease especially since Alexander wasn't playing. This was Seattles first game without him so I would imagine their confidence was a little down. It will be interesting to see how Seattle responds next week and the weeks to follow until Alexander returns to the lineup. One thing going for them is they are in a weak NFC West division.

Da Bears were established back in 1920 and along with a few other older teams they established the Black n Blue League. They have had a few lackluster years but all in all, if da Bears remain healthy they will again resemble the old "monsters of the midway" and the Bears will win even more games on the backs of their defense.

In 1985 they went 15-1 and on to win Superbowl XX

I am stuck in Bears, Browns, Bengal & Lion country. Of all of them, I have to admit I enjoy da Bears.

I have Alexander on some fantasy teams and he hasn't done anything yet this season, it is early though.
