The running game was going so well, I thought Cowher would at least stick with the Power Running Game that we are known for. I am so shocked we threw for the End Zone instead of punching the ball in. This is a disgrace.

That is definitely the main point TG...It really goes back to the old saying "If ain't broke don't try to fix it!" The running game was really unstoppable today but trying to get fancy in the red zone it killed the momentum and Cowher wasn't trying to get the points, he was trying to out-think the Bengals when it came to doing what the Steelers do best... handing the ball off and jamming it down your throat!Originally Posted by Top Gun
We've always been about a nonsense offense and defense. We play our game and dare you to stop it. We're one of the best running teams in the league year in and year out, and that sets up the run and good efficiency in the passing game. It's just good smart, solid, fundamental football. That's what we're about. You mix in some gadget plays here and there but generally its a hat on a hat, and lets go to war. That's what we need to do, we're trying to outthink the situation too much and we're shooting ourselves in the foot.
Thats what we need to get back too.
