8:30 PM EST - Heinz Field
The Bengals travel to Pittsburgh this weekend to play our Pittsburgh Steelers. Some probably think it's not a big deal becasue the Bengals aren't really good this year, but going back to 2005 the visiting has always won. Flashback to 2005, the Steelers played the Bengals 3 times that year, twice in Cincinnati which both resulted in wins. The Bengals won a shootout at Heinz field that year. Flashback to 2006, again these two teams split their season series with the visiting team winning on both occasions. However, I would personally put an "*" next to the game played in Pittsburgh because Ricardo joined the ranks of Neil O'Donnell... Steelers players to wear the black and gold on Sunday but obviously looked like they were playing for the other team. Any how, thus far this season the Steelers have already beat the Bengals on their home field so now the Bengals show up seeking redemption.
This game is huge for the Steelers with the Pats game coming up next weekend. Hopefully they aren't looking ahead and forgetting about the Bengals becasue the Bengals are coming off an impressive win last weekend where Chad Johnson finally got his confidence back. The Steelers confidence might be a little broken right now only because they are 1-1 against teams that have a combined record of 2-20 now.
The Steelers have the best defense in the league where the Bengals have one of the top ranked offenses. The big difference though between these two teams is the Steelers can have a potent offense that can tear a defense apart with a combination of passing and running the ball and using their speed. So the Steelers are good on both sides of the ball where the Bengals are lacking a defense so they have to rely on their offense to put up a lot of points.
Join us this Sunday night here in the gameday thread as we talk about the game and cheer our Steelers to a victory!
