Steelers vs. Denver (Wk. 7)

Funny how in just over a year the shoe is on the other foot! Last year about this same time the Broncos came to town and beat the Steelers and all but eliminated them from the playoffs. Granted had the Steelers won any of their other games they could have made it but this one was pivital. This time around the Steelers travel to Mile High and with a win can put a serious damper on any playoff hopes Denver might have.

These two teams practically mirror one another on the offensive side of the ball. They have QB's that are asked to manage a game to let the running game do its thing. The only difference though is when Big Ben is asked to make something happen he can usually deliver where Cutler is more prone to making a mistake. Granted Cutler has more yards than Ben, but Cutler has been playing from behind a lot more and trying to make games look somewhat respectable. Cutler has 4 TD's with 6 INT's, Ben on the other hand has 9 TD's with only 3 picks. The real difference maker is what these guys can do when they are pressured. Ben has been sacked 11 times but could have easily been sacked a lot more, but he seems to find an escape hatch to elude the rush and turn the play into something positive! Looking at the Broncos Steelers offensive matchup the advantage would have to go to the Steelers with the QB's being the differnece.

Now on the defensive side of the ball the Bronco's have been suspect. They have an average D that has given up a crap load of points and give up a lot of yards on the ground. This is the perfect matchup for the Steelers because they have one of the top rushers in the league with FWP, so they can unleash him and have the Broncos attempt to stop him. The Steelers D... well what else can you really say about them? The Steelers Defense is just flat out awesome! They are ranked #1 in the league for total D, points given up and total yards allowed. As long as the #1 D in the league shows up it will be a long night for the Broncos.

Prediction

FWP has a break out game of 200+ yards + 2 running touchdowns - 14points

Big ben throws for 150+ yards and has 2 throwing touchdowns - 14 points

Steelers 28 - Broncos 7

if the steelers lose it's my fault lol, i had to get a hair cut cause i went to my cousins wedding last week......... and it seems everytime i get a hair cut something bad happens, like the day i got a hair cut last year, ben got hit by that car lol
