Profootballtalk.com has just reported that the Steeler front office is saying their not interested in Harrison. That's so stupid. 10 days ago you wanted him to take a pay cut but remain on the team. Now you say there is no place for him and you don't want him back? Just plain spiteful. But I understand.
And at some point, we do have to go with the young guys. We really do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if they want to sign Harrison (or if they did want to,) they would have to pay him and he'd have to accept even less than his original offer because of the dead money that is sitting on the books at the moment...just to get the "money" to where the "original offer" was...if that makes sense.
What the team said is mostly irrelevant. It could be true or it could be the team leveraging knowing that Harrison is desperate and looking to get him even cheaper. We just do not know. The Rooneys are ruthless when negotiating in these situations.
