I'm a huge Flacco fan, he has some serious physical skills, and I like his arm way more than Big Ben (Ben is a very good QB, but has a very different skillset than Flacco). That said, until he gets over the friggin AFC playoff hump, he'll have about as meaningful a career as Donovan McNabb, which is to say: a good QB, but nowhere near elite.

Flacco is a hell of a QB. But he does get a ton of help from his WR's T.Smith was adjusting and going up and snatching below average passes out of the air. So credit needs to go to the WRs... Unlike the steelers WRs we love to talk shit and act cocky but drop passes at every turn.
Flacco also has the benefit of teams having to respect the running game because Rice is a stud.
Defenses didnt have to be honest to our run game all season...
So Flaccos decent but dont forget how much his team is helping him out when he isnt doing well
I keep seeing this comment. That deep sideline pass that Smith went up for... the one that people around here keep calling "underthrown" or a "bad pass"... was actually a PERFECT pass. When the CB "faces up the WR" (can't see the ball), instead of turning his hips and playing the throw, then the throw Flacco made is EXACTLY where the ball should be thrown. Smith made a great play too. But to call that a bad pass, is completely uninformed. Rodgers makes that throw 5 times a game.Quote:
