The Jets and Steelers have developed a nice rivalry this decade, as each of the two teams have consistently been among the best in the AFC. That doesn't mean the series has been competitive though. Overall, the Jets are just 4-17 against the Steelers and have won just one time in Pittsburgh since the NFL and AFL merged in 1970. Since 2003, the Jets and Steelers have split six games, and if not for a pair of Doug Brien missed field goals in the 2005 playoffs, the Jets could have had a leg up.
This week's matchup figures to be another tough battle between two good teams that rely greatly on their defenses.
