Server upgrade coming again

Sunday night was a complete nightmare for all of us and it wasn't because we lost the game.

Our servers went absolutely crazy and simply could not keep up with the traffic. People were having problems getting on all night long, myself included. I offer everyone my most sincere apologies.

Our last upgrade was supposed to fix this but the host completely underestimated the traffic we get on gameday obviously. I worked with them all evening but to no avail.

Long story short we had a ton of traffic during the game so now we are upgrading our server again on Monday. This one will put us on an even more powerful server with double the capacity limits and significantly more connections allowed at any given time.

The host has assured me that this change will rectify all connection problems and we won't have a repeat of Sunday evening again.

In case you are interested, we are going to break all previous stat records wide open at the rate we are going.

The upgrade is happening Tuesday morning around 8am EST and should take about 20 minutes at most. The site will be intermittently online at that time. After that, again, I have been assured that the situation from last night will not happen again. If it does you may not ever see me again because I'll jumping off the nearest bridge.


It's an increased cost, significantly, but that's how things have to roll if we want to ensure our online stability at our busiest times.

It was very frustrating for us indeed as we do our best to provide you with what you want here at SA so please bear with us as Matt said. Because of many of you, we continue to gain more and more members which is great but it led to the issue last night so keep talking us up out there! It's kind of a good-bad problem which we hope to be all good real soon!

Server upgrade complete. We are now on a new, more powerful server able to handle the gameday traffic that we get. If anyone receives any connections errors going forward please let me know.

it is working now...but the times are messed up lol

Yeah I know, they are 5 hours earlier, I'm working on it now..it's the server time that is screwed up on their end for some reason.
