Agree. I want the kid to make the team.
5 punts for an average 37.0 yds. Longest of the night was 51.0 yds.
That's not good at all, the problem is that Kapinos is still recovering from his back surgery. Right now there's no competition so Bulter is going to win by default but I'm not impressed at all by him so far. He had a so-so camp, very inconsistent and last night save for that one kick of 51, he was not all that good.
Those stats don't exactly jump out at you. I don't think J-Kap has much to worry about, other than getting healthy.
"has he had one blocked yet?" --chris gardocki
where did most of the punts happen field position wise? that can throw off your average. if you punt it 37 yards but pin it inside the 5, that's a damn fine punt. i did see one of his punts go into the endzone...not good.
Hes 23 and a rookie... Give him two more games. He landed one just inside the endzone, he was trying for the 1 yard line.
He sucked.
The bad thing is that in training camp there's very little pressure in your face when you practice. You normally just go off to the side and work with the coaches except when it comes to special teams drills. He was pretty inconsistent then and it's carried over so far. He's still got two games to go but man you better show us more than that so far. You can't have a 37 yd kick from your own 30 yd line and expect to make many friends.
He didn't really blow anyone away with those punts
