Amen. NFL offenses are more complex and lethal than ever before. Some teams (e.g. Patriots, Packers) have 5 quality receivers to run out there every play. Not to mention that many of these have the match-up versatility to be a tight end. People are pining for the days when a great pass defense would hold QBs to 120-150 ypg. That is unreasonable in today's NFL where a 400 yard passing game is the 300 yard game of 10-20 years ago.

Today, your 6th DB is almost as important as your #1 and 6 good DBs is much better than having a couple "lockdown corners" and some scrubs (the formula 20 years ago).

Im waiting for our new lethal offense to rise to the top this year. We have the players to do this.
We now have an OC with an imagination.

If I get the time I will post the list of QBs faced last season. Let's not forget Painter, Gabbert, Tavarus Jackson, etc. Man, we played against a motley crew of QBs.

I never really understood the hate for Willie Gay.....lol He was a fifth round pick......But some of our fans expected him to be Deion Sanders...lol

I actually have to agree here I thought Gay played very solid last year.

Not to mention Tyler Palko and Seneca Wallace.

Gay won some games for us last year and he was always an excellent NB when they didnt make him cover TO or gronk...he actually played well on the outside last year and not just in the slot
