What hurt was MAF letting in an average of 6 goals a game in the 4 that we lost.

Well sitting Crosby would have been only way they could have afforded to sign someone. I think he could have played in 10 games or less and they still wouldn't have had to pay his salary. I forget how it all works out. Been months since I read article about it in the PPG
Sorry, gotta agree with Steelersfan on this one. Crosby was going to come back when he was healthy. I don't think he would have taken, "sorry, you're out until the playoffs so we can sign some other players" very well.
