Official 2011 Steeler draft discussion

So when will Heyward begin throwing fastballs for this team anytime soon?......I don't think its a big worry honestly.....I also can't figure how DE wasn't a need.........Both Smith/Keisel are 30+ and both missed games last year.....Smith could retire at anytime so DE was a need.......Now the Steelers are set at DE with both Heyward/Hood......

Baron Batch isn't related to Charlie is he? That might explain why he was picked over better options still left.

I thought if they went RB they would have picked Noel Devine. Although, there must be a reason why nobody else has picked Devine either.

I was also hoping they would have picked Deunta Williams.

Or perhaps take a chance on Mark Herzlich.

Well, all 3 guys are free agents and can still be picked up whenever that will be allowed.

Yeah Deunta & Herzlich were both on my mind. I would of given Herzlich a shot over Chris Carter. At least Herzlich was use to playing standing up. Very Suprised New England didn't take him.

Everyone keeps saying the 5 tech isn't an immediate need. Does anyone know if Aaron Smith is recovered or able to play? answer no? Will he even make it out of training camp? What if during camp something happens then what? Plus Role players Nick Eason & NT Hoke are free agents.

WOW, I wanted Herlich & Deunta and thought Tolliver was going to be the WR pick once Denarius Moore was taken.
But what picks would you change? Picks 2,3,4 & 6 were all Draft visits and Tomlin,Colbert & LeBeau went to Heyward's Pro day.

Do you change Carter with Da'rel Scott or Herlich and Batch with Deunta Williams or Herlich?

i dont hate the 5-7 picks (cortez allen kinda baffles me) but i would have loved any of those undrafted guys i mentioned
