Steelers vs. Bengals (Wk. 7)
Early reports indicate Willie Parker has stepped in a hole during practice and re-injured his knee! Obviously this is not his year for luck, especially if he has found the only hole on a field that is 120 yards long and 50+ yards wide. This means Moore, will more than likely, get his second straight start this weekend when the Steelers travel to Cincinnati to face the helpless Bengals. As the weeks go by it is becoming more apparent there is something a little more serious wrong with Carson Palmer than team officials originally thought. Palmer is listed as doubtful for this weekend, but he won't be the only Bengal injured. The Bengals injury report is a mile long and granted they aren't big names, injuries to a team put pressure on others to step and fill the void.
Big Ben has yet to lose a game in the state of Ohio since joining the Steelers in 2004 as a rookie. Oh... did I mention Ben is from Ohio, and played his College ball at Miami of Ohio? The point is, if Ben is going to Ohio you can count a win all the time based on his track record.
The Steelers are coming off a bye week that couldn't have come at a better time. They have had a number of key injuries, but thankfully the backups stepped in and the team didn't really miss a beat. That's when you truly find out how deep a team is and the Steelers showed they have depth!
The Bengals are a team in turmoil right now after just proclaiming to be the team of the AFC North in 2005. Needless to say they haven't really lived up to the self proclaimed hype since the Steelers knocked them out of the playoffs that year in their own stadium! They've had injuries, arrests, and superstars under achieving and griping. The sad thing is they have probably had more arrests than injuries over the past two years.
For the Steelers to come away with a win they only really need to one thing... Not look past the Bengals!
Join us this Sunday as we talk about the game and cheer our Steelers to a victory! :cope:
