This was a total team effort today, you can pick out any one of a number of players but who do you think deserves this weeks honor?

najeh or ben, but najeh was beast

Im going to go with Ike today, he was all over the field making plays and could have had 3 picks instead of just the 1. He was key for us today IMO but everyone in the secondary also just came to play this afternoon.

While others like Ike and Ben Roeth had good days, Davenport was the "difference maker" today ....

Davenport is my player of the game. He was a monster.

I'd say the entire D deserves it. Secondary covered everybody. LBs and D-line were equaly as good. Pitching a shutout. Voted Ike because the entire D isn't listed :D

A defense that pitches a shut-out with their 2 pro-bowlers from the year prior both out with injuries.......that is a dominating performance!

Need to add the defense to that list

Alot of guys stepped up today!
Ben managed a hell of a game, and picked em apart like the all-pro he is!

These are the times when previously unheralded individuals become heroes. None of our reserves entered the NFL to be back-ups, and when given the opportunity to start will do everything in their power (and then some) to star on the field. Not the best circumstances, would never want any of our players injured.
But given the chance ...
I remind myself how many of our "back-ups" have been cherry picked by other teams through free-agency and prospered.
Yes, we are definitely bruised up, but I believe the team coach T prepares for Sunday will be fine.

 It's why I believe!

behold the power of Seven!

If Ben woulda broke Bubby's record of 15 completions in a row, I would have voted Ben :D

D-Sep ,you lit a ffire under Ced! He was sure trying to by some love from ya today . Glad it happened, we needed it. ( i'm still more of a D-Sep fan than a Ced fan btw)!

I went with Najeh. I think everyone got motivated after his big plays. Plus the fact he scored 2 of the 3 td's.

If he could catch he would have had 3 ints ( because his coverage was awesome, though). of course if he could catch he probably be a WR, and with our injuries he'd probably start.
He had a hell of a game, but bonehead penalties lose POTG for Ikey.

It was just such an outstanding performance that you could say virtually anyone. I was so impressed with Ben's performance today too, the OL let a few sacks get through but for the most part Ben was on his game all day long and didn't make the big mistake and really bailed us out many times today.

I couldn't agree more!!! to me this is a no brainier yes the team as a whole played well BUT with troy and McFadden out ike stepped up BIG i mean the pick that he did come down with is the ONLY reason that they didn't score!!! and the other two was just great defense thats why he is not a wide receiver my vote goes to ike!!!!!:bigthumb:

With injuries to a half a dozen starters I vote for the whole team.
Everybody stepped up their game today.:bigthumb:

I voted Najeh.

His 45 yard run was the first sign of life for our offense and led to the TD pass to Miller. Then his 2TDs shut the door on the Seahawks.

Since we had some requests to enter the entire defense to the list I did that as well. Normally we like to stay away from that category because most games you can say the whole unit did well to aid the cause but we'll make the exception today since the masses have spoken :bigthumb:

Big Ben all the way

Big Ben without a doubt.....He didn't have Ward or Holmes but still completed 13 straight passes and only missed 4 on the day....Plus no INTs.....But the whole team played very well and it was an impressive win.....

This week is going to be a close vote !

Yeah, you need to start adding the whole offense or the whole defense, lol. Is a hard week to choose. Ben is definately deserving. But I gotta go with the D (or a single player, lol) because of the goose egg.

edit, lol.. I see you added the D. Can you change my vote from Ike to the D please :) :tt02:

Defense with out a doubt. Especially in the 3rd Qtr. after our longgggggg drive for the TD. Najeh/ Yes, Cedric a tie for 2nd.

if we had had Troy and Hampton this week i woulda gone wit Najeh hands down
but i have to vote for the entire defense cuz i was afraid they would implode witout their big stars
they shut down Seattle in the first half and didnt give them anything

I went with Ben (18/22 and his 2 best recievers out) however, it could easily go to Dookie, Ike, or the entire D!!!! Great job by all!

I have to give it to Naj! Even though Cedric had so very key receptions, Big D was a monster today when we needed it.

I'm with you.....To me this was one of Ben's best games as a Steeler.....I know the stats don't reflect that but the stats don't tell the whole story.....To complete 13 straight passes and to only miss 4 all day without his two best WRs shows me he is becoming the QB I expected when we drafted him......

But the whole freaking team was great today......Props to Nate and Ced for stepping up as well after looking lost last week...lol.....Plus Dookie proving me wrong and showing some toughness I thought he was lacking.....

BlitzburghRockCity
10-08-2007, 12:39 AM
That's one thing about Ben, even if his stats don't always tell the whole story; he comes to play every week and games like he had today show us what he's really capable of being for us for many years to come. He hung in there and took some shots but he was doing everything he could to keep drives going without being a detriment to the team by making mistakes and that shows a lot of maturity.

For me it was easy .... missing who was the D was they deserve it. No Troy, or the Big Hamp and to still pitch a shut out, no doubt about it ! :tt02::tt02:

Ima be the stand out this time around i voted ced .. for one reason and one reason only

He took in his role for once and showed that he can handel it and be a really good player.

And he really stepped up for the team when we needed him filling in wards shoes. which says alot for a guy who is still a bum to me and has alot more to prove but this week hes gets credit from me!
