Vaughn McClure, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears QB Brian Griese will replace QB Rex Grossman as the starter, according to a source.

Griese was a Pro Bowl player at one time... plus if anything he does turn the Bears into an NFC contender again because Grossman flat out sucks!

I guess we'll see. I don't evny Lubby's situation. Seems like its a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I don't think that Griese will be any better. But maybe Grossman will respond and play better after riding the pine a game or two. But thats highly unlikey IMO. He strikes me as a guy who is a career 2nd string quarterback. But Griese is probably a 3rd string.

Between the Bears and the Cardinals QB shuffle, reminds me of the Kordell years, lol. Glad its them and not us. Grossman is horrible and Griese isn't his father, soooo.. I figure Orton will be starting in a few weeks, lol.
