Stapleton surprised to make the team

Undrafted rookie Darnell Stapleton (C, G) is surprised he made the team, he missed 3 preseason games but came back and showed the Steelers and OL coach Zierlein something.


What does Zierlein like about Stapleton’s physical skills?

“The fact that he plays with leverage,” Zierlein said. “He’s got good balance. His strength is okay; it’ll get better. But he has football movements. Some guys don’t have them. He does.”

He's versatile, that's a big key. He can play both Guard and Center for us. When you look down at our OL, every player can play atleast 1 other position and has done so for us. That's a key and a big reason he made the team as the backup Center instead of Okobi who only played Center for us; well that and his big ass salary didn't help him either.

Football movement...Thats something clearly Max Starks doesn't have....So its good that the Steelers coaches saw something in this Stapleton kid...Who knows we might have a player with this guy.......
