My first memories of the Steelers were the ****** teams in the second half of the '80s. That'd make me about six years old. I didn't start following them constantly, though, until I was 15 (the 1993 season). I've been hooked since then, and I have not missed a game since November 2000. (I have walked out on four games in disgust, though.)

You traumatized him by making him watch that game.

Yes, because I was trying to teach him it's not about winning and losing... it's all about supporting your team through the good, the bad and the ugly. Plus it's all about the colors and nothing else matters besides the Black-n-Gold!

I guess I've been watching them since I was born, but the 1978 Championship team is the first I remember watching them. At least I recall two of the first four. BTW, I was 5 in '78.

Hey, I support the team...but that was still painful, especially considering we had a 10-0 lead. :banging:

I was 7. Family moved to Pittsburgh from Chicago in '60. Got there just in time for Maz's shot heard round the world. Saw YA Tittle go down in '64 from a head to head shot from d-lineman Big Daddy Lipscomb .... all he could do was kneel on the ground, in the end zone, completely dazed... blood painting his hairless head, which was just a s shattered as his helmet ... Steeler fans are different, we're there to win, but accept the loss as long as we're given a bang for our buck.
