It's an argument that never will be settled but a heated one nevertheless: How many yards would Willie Parker gain against the Steelers' defense in a game?

The only way to find out would be to trade Parker or hold a full-fledged scrimmage. Neither will happen.

"We were talking about that the other day,'' defensive end Brett Keisel said. "He said he could easily get 100 yards on us. We got into a bit of an argument with it. But Willie's a great player and a Pro Bowl player and we're lucky to have him on our side."

Stop patronizing, Keisel; how many yards would he get?

"Would he get 100 against us?" Keisel repeated. "Not even close. He wouldn't get close. He would get maybe 15 -- on 15 carries."
Any takers care to take a stab at how many yards Willie would get??? I'm thinking the 65-75 range on close to 20 carries...

Well I think the Steelers defense would shut down Fast Willie......They have done a great job on LT the past few years when facing him and he is the best in the NFL....

I'm thinking Willie would get around 45-60 yards on 20-25 carries...But the thing with Willie he has that speed to break a long one at anytime to help his cause for 100 yards....

15 yards on 15 carries?!!!
I would say that FWP would get 85 yards if he got around 30 carries.

18 million yards....easy.....actually...first carry....Willie gets injured and he injures every player on the defense....

I'm going to be conservative here and say that if Willie Parker was given 25 carries against our D ....


He would be somewhere around the 60-75 yard range.

I'd have to agree with that you figure our defense knows him better than anyone considering they practice with him everyday.

willie would suck it up againt the d, no one runs on us and he would be no different. he couldnt run against jax or SD, and mostly because cowher gave up real quick, but thats because he was getting nowhere fast against stingy defenses...just dont see much success for willie, but dont feel bad, no one really goes anywhere lol

We own the run game. OUr ends and LBs are fast enough to cut off the edge. NO way 100 yards

What else would we expect a Steelers defensive player to say :lol: Im surprised he didn't say 15 yds on 25 carries :lol:

Gotta love that confidence.....I say FWP gets about 45 yds on 15 carries and 1 TD.

Just like any other RB, he wouldn't get very many vs our defense.

lol, he wouldn't get more then 60 yards on like 25 carries, our defense has shut down way better backs with better lines before

I would say 65 - 75 yards on 18 carries............ Our D rules the ground game
