BOSTON -- Kevin Garnett is leaving Minnesota after the Boston Celtics agreed to acquire the All-Star forward in a multiplayer trade with the Timberwolves, a Celtics official told the Associated Press on Monday.

Among the players who could be headed to Minnesota are forward Al Jefferson, guard Sebastian Telfair, swingman Gerald Green and center Theo Ratliff, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been completed. The official also said the Timberwolves would get at least one draft choice.
The teams still had some things to clarify with the players' contracts, but the official said that would not keep the Celtics from acquiring Garnett, although there could be a change in the players ticketed for the Timberwolves.

this is a good trade for both teams

the wolves get a shitload of potential in al jefferson who was already blossoming in boston, and then they get super athletic green, he may be missing part of one of his fingers but he's gonna be a good player, when given good mins he produced, telfair still has potential, but he needs to grow up, and then after next year they get rid of ratliff with his expiring contract......... so now they have a good future

and then for the celtics they get their chance to win now, their window is only about 2 years but still at least they are good for awhile...... they are still not on the level of the spurs, mavs, and suns, however on paper they are the class of the east now, and if they can build good chemistry it should be no problem winning the east

The Celtics are definitely loading up with some serious talent. They will now have 3 potential All-Stars or at least at one time were All-Stars ;) If the team can come together they could be the team to beat in the East :dunno:

First Garnett bitches about not wanting to go to Boston complaining about everything from the team to the weather, now he all of the sudden changes his mind...I guess that's what happens when you actually think things through before shooting your mouth off huh Garnett?

he changed his mind, cause when he was rumored to go there, the celtics didn't have ray allen yet, but now they do, and now that team has 3 all stars on that team, if the chemistry is good, they will win the east for the next couple of years, i dobut they win a championship, cause the west still owns the league lol
