Getting a long term deal done on the tagged players,,,,,,,,

Most notables are Briggs,Freeman and Samuel

DEADLINE july 16th

Heard Bernard Berian on sirius sayin Lance Briggs will sit out 10 games if the brass does not ink him a new deal

IMO`````If any of them sit out, they'll be making a huge mistake

It's Gaurunteed cabbage and your advertising for your next contract !

So glad our brass never uses that "Tag"

Agent Drew Rosenhaus, who has been in Chicago the past couple of days, also brought with him several ideas regarding LB Lance Briggs' contract that he hopes will interest the Bears. "We presented some concepts that we think will work for the Bears and for Lance," Rosenhaus said, declining to elaborate on specifics. Adding urgency to Briggs' situation is that July 16 is the deadline to do long-term contracts with players having the franchise designation. This has gone on long enough, can we play some football Lance?

Samuel is pretty upset with the Pats so at this point it will be interesting to see how long he's willing to sit out this season unless something gets done at the last minute.

I think Samuel needs to contact Deion Branch and ask him what sitting out got him??
The Pats and the Steelers are very similar in that they will not break the bank on player contracts regardless of the player......and turn a stone cold deaf ear on player threats to sit out or other various forms of complaining and whineing.

Samuel is with the wrong team to be holding out on. If they can plug in a WR in the secondary and get it done, what makes Samuel think they will pony up and give him what he wants. He'll be sittin for a while.....
