If you could sign one player from the league to play for the steelers this year who would you get. Bear in mind who we have and give a little explanation as to why.

Me i'll get the ball rolling and say Panthers WR Steve Smith

For sure Peyton is a consideration, LT, but just think about having Smith and Ward at WR for us...Smith needs double teaming which just opens up everything else for Ward, Miller and then Parker for the running game. Holmes is doing a great job for us and could be great but if i could right now i'd get Smith.

Ok who's next and why

Peyton:yuck1: I would take Douche Bag Tom Brady before Peyton Manning. You know the best QB in the NFL....

But with Oline being so important then I would have to go with Marcus McNeill the LT from the Chargers.....The reason I would take him over other top LTs in the game is his youth factor. The guy was a beast last year for the Bolts. Plus this move would allow us to move Marvel Smith back to RT which he is better suited for...

Our QB situation is fine...Ben will bounce back strong this year just watch and prove all the doubters wrong.:tt02:

If we hadn't drafted Timmons & Woodley this year I'd say that I'd love to have a guy like Shawn Merriman come to us and play opposite James Harrison.

I always wanted to know what itd be like to have Urlacher on our team but we'll never need him. John Lynch too but we have better safties. I would probelly want Champ Baily

i would sign Roy Williams of the Cowboys to put opposite Polamalu, our DB's would be unstoppable and no one could throw on us, and they already cant run against us, so therefore, we would not have anyone able to score against, us and we could drop Miami's unbeaten record and put up one of our own

Merriman, LT, or Urlacher, Chad Johnson my 4 fav players. (I have all there jerseys) :)

Roy Williams??????? then we would have 2 safties that are better against the run than the pass....and one that absolutly sucks against the pass lol

John Lynch??? ew no lol

Champ Bailey....nice

Champ Bailey would be a great choice, only because we have 2 young guys so having the insurance of a Bailey would be cool. No way I'd ever want Chad Johnson our team. No matter what his stats are the dude is a me first selfish player, no thanks.

I would agree. Merriman or even Adalius Thomas. Mostly to have proven (NFL) experience at the LB position. But since we can't up and take any player in the league I think the Steelers will do just fine with who we have! :cope:

Lynch and Bailey are both getting old but both are freakin' beasts! I'd take either and be DAMN happy about it. What is your problem with Lynch? He can knock the heads of the best of 'em!

Champ sounds great to me

Although a stud LT would be pretty nice also

But i'm a "D" minded person ,so i'd go with champ

Your f@&cking crazy. Lynch kicks *** and always has. If I wasn't so drunk I'd find some stats. Maybe you can prove me wrong with some stats. Why do you think he's a liability? Him and Bailey are the only reason I even watch the donkeys... well that and they are on tv every week here! lol

Gotta side with K-man on this one

Lynch is past his prime and he's not good in coverage

But he was an asskicker in his Tampa days :bigthumb:

lol. I watch the guy almost every week and he holds his own better than most every D-men in the league. I'll give you the fact that he's lost a step, but since he was a couple of steps above everyone else he is still a beast.

Ok, I have found myself defending a DONKEYS player. lol. I'm done arguing now... you win. lmao!

this would be a no brainer, tomlinson........he's the best player in the league by far, he'd help us in so many ways, sure we have willie, but willie isn't even in the same league as lt.............

LT is the best overall football player on the planet, i would probably go defense but LT is the best offensive player you could get

BlitzburghNation

No doubt,,,,,,,If i were starting a franchise from scratch LT would be my 1st
player picked

But if we are looking at our team right now,,,,,I'd go with the best corner in the league, which to me is champ bailey

Would be nice to have #1 wr non existant almost every game :tt02:

Well, to answer the first question, i would really want LT right now... He's great but we dont need him! We have a probowl back that i think is only gonna get better as our passing game grows into a threat! I would take Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss (on pure ability - the problems) or on the D side Asante Samuel. I think that if we had 1 big playmaker oppostie Ward / Holmes we would be Dynamic on offense and you would only see Willie get better. And you cant argue w/ a player like Samuel... i hate the pats but dude is sick!!! i like Champ but i just think Samuel is just as good (if not better) and younger!!!!

Brandon Jacobs------so he could give Willie Parker a blow during the game and to pound the ball on short yardage/goal-line situations.
