Going to the 1978 AFC Championship game with my father, rainy and cold the entire game. Steelers crushed the Oilers!

I hate to say this, but this is perhaps the greatest comeback in Steelers History.

Seeing Tommy Maddox throw over 400 yards to rally the Steelers back from a huge deficit to beat Cleveland at home in the Wild Card Game. I am telling you, I had never seen such a game like this in my life. Holcomb torched us so badly, but we got the better end of the game.

Seeing Jerome, Hines, and Bill Cowher releasing the big monkey off his back and raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy high in the air was a very memorable moment.

Wow, how about a HARD question? lol

There's SOOO many, how to choose just one?? I loved Joey's comment "Cheat that!" to the camera/refs after leveling Peyton, Ben's shoestring tackle, Willie's record setting run/TD at the SB, heck--even the Bus throwing to Cedric (if memory serves me right) to try to score a TD was memorable, and the list just goes on, and on, and on.... :D

that is one moment I will never forget. I was at that game and it was amazing!!! I did go on an emotional roller coaster during it though!

My favourite moment was for a minute the worst moment. I'd supported the steelers since after their 1979 superbowl win, and had never been a supporter for them whilst they went to the superbowl. We lost the afc to that 3 more yards thing v the chargers the year before but my moment was the afc championship game v the colts the next year. In england i couldn;t see the game but had it on the radio. Phill Simms was commenting and when Harbourgh threw the Hail mary at the end, my heart sank and Simms was shouting on the radio "he caught it, i think he caught it!!!" my heart sank, only for a few seconds though as he then said no it's incomplete. The Steeler won and were going to the superbowl!!!!

Single play moments, everytime the Bus ripped one open against whoever he was playing. 2005 was a great year and the moments we ended the Pat's winning streak and then the eagles.

Oh i could go on....

the entire SB XL season will be something I will always remember. I had waited my entire life for that moment and it is our first SB victory that I can remember. I will never forget that feeling.

Of course the obvious answer in the Super Bowl wins and all that, but I gotta say the 2005 Bears game in the snow and mud! That was a very defining moment for the Steelers that year, and Bettis had one of the greatest runs ever which will probably define his career... lowering his shoulder on Urlacher and taking it into the end zone! :cope:

Gives me goos bumps thinking about it!

I have to say that also, Chris, good thinking!!! I wonder if that is on Youtube? A video of the Bus ramming Urlacher down. Got to be.

Just in case the video doesn't show up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P68VsLCR8tg

Nice...I could watch that over and over...Football cannot get here soon enough...:tt02::tt02::tt02::tt02:

Definitely Super Bowl XL.

05-24-2007, 05:28 PM
not a good moment, but one i will always remember is the refs screwing us over with the overtime coin flip in detroit and the steelers did not win another game all year

05-24-2007, 05:40 PM
Willie Reid returning the opening kickoff of Super Bowl XLII to the house for a quick 6 against the Saints.

Timmons and Woodley sandwich Drew Brees as he throws a pick to Polamalu who then goes "Flyin' Hawaiian" into the endzone from the 25.

Then Hines Ward throwing the block that springs Willie Parker to the outside for a 25 yard touchdown.

Followed by D-Sep knocking Reggie Bush out of his shoes and the ball out of his hands.

And I think the last thing that happens is Holmes catches a 12 yard pass, gets 55 yards after the catch and Ben hits Miller in the endzone.

After halftime, it's all grind...

I have to say reading all those GREAT STORIES :bigthumb: has brought back some really great memories. The one I like the most right now is the video of the BUS against the BEARS. No one could have stopped him, not even the whole BEARS defense :nono:. I must have watched that 20 times thanks!!! :helmet::helmet::helmet::helmet::cope::tt02::clap: :clap:

Most Memorable Moment... I'm going old school when Jack Lambert grabbed that Dallas player, Harris I believe, and tossed him to the ground after Gerala's missed FG... That's what I call a defining moment in STEELER'S history!! :tt02::tt02:

Basically the entire run to the superbowl XL from the point in time when we were 7-5 and damn near out of it.

Still gives me chills to see that vid Chris !! :cope:

Wasn't favorite but was a really tense game 4 me

Parkers 75 yard run in superbowl :tt02: Leaped off the couch and done a few laps around the living room

I knew then that we would win the superbowl :tt02:
